Laminiadu yw’r broses o ludo haen denau o blastig, 5 i 20 micron o drwch, ar ddogfen sydd wedi’i hargraffu. Mae laminiadu yn broses ddrud ond mae’n rhoi gorffeniad cryfach sy’n amddiffyn rhag gwres, dŵr a chrafu, ac mae’n rhoi sglein.
Prosesau
Nid yw laminiadu yr un fath ag amgáu oherwydd nid oes rhaid gorchuddio’r ddwy ochr. Unwaith mae’r ddogfen yn sych, gallwch ddechrau laminiadu drwy basio’r ddogfen drwy roler laminiadu. Rhoddir pwysau ar y ddogfen a gwres i fondio’r ffilm blastig ar y papur/cerdyn. Dyma’r plastigion a ddefnyddir:
Polypropylen cyfeiriedig – mapiau, llyfrynnau, catalogau, cloriau llyfrau, cardiau, standiau gwerthu, bagiau.
Polyester – Pan fydd angen gwrthsefyll gwres e.e. matiau bwrdd.
Nylon – Pan fydd angen gwrthsefyll gwisgo e.e. llawlyfrau mewn gweithdy.
Asetad – Ble mae angen gludo a blocio e.e. cartonau.

Description
Laminating is the process of glueing a thin layer of plastic from 5 to 20 microns thick onto a printed document. Laminating is an expensive process but can give a stronger, heat resistant, waterproof, scratch resistant high gloss finish.
Processes
The process of laminating is not the same as encapsulating as both sides do not have to be covered. Once the printed document is dry, laminating can begin by passing the document through a laminating roller, force is added to press and add heat to bond the plastic film to the paper/card. The plastics used are:-
Orientated Polypropylene – maps, brochures, catalogues, book covers, cards, POS displays, carrier bags.
Polyester – When heat resistance is needed e.g. table mats
Nylon – Where scuff resistance is needed e.g. workshop manuals
Acetate – Where gluing and blocking is needed e.g. cartons.
