Velocity ratio VR

Mewn systemau pwli, ceir newidiadau buanedd trwy ddefnyddio pwlïau meintiau gwahanol ar y siafft yrru a’r siafft yredig. Drwy gymharu maint y ddau bwli, gallwch gyfrifo Cymhareb Cyflymder y system.

Er Enghraifft.

Mae’r diagram isod yn dangos pwmp dŵr a yrrir gan fodur trydan. Cyfrifwch Gymhareb cyflymder y system.

Pwli gyrru = 140mm

Pwli gyredig = 35mm

CC = Diamedr gyredig ÷ Diamedr gyrru

CC = 35 / 140

= 1/4

= cymhareb 1:4

In pulley systems speed changes are made using different sized pulleys on the driver and driven shafts. By comparing the size of the two pulleys you can calculate the Velocity ratio of the system.

For example

The diagram below shows a water pump driven by an electric motor. Calculate the Velocity ratio of the system.

Driver pulley = 140mm

Driven pulley = 35mm

VR = Driven diameter ÷ Driver diameter

VR = 35 / 140

= 1/4

= 1:4 ratio
